International Trumpet Holidays
For the inaugural edition of the festival, we have designed an extraordinary Masterclass set against the picturesque backdrop of Argentiera.
International Trumpet Holidays is born with the aim of providing participants with a program of activities and lessons featuring internationally acclaimed guests. The goal is to stimulate both artistic and personal growth, with a particular focus on the trumpet community, significantly contributing to the development of their musical careers.
The festival will span one week with a daily schedule filled with lessons structured into individual, group, and ensemble sessions. We ensure ample time for socializing, fun, and relaxation while exploring Argentiera and the venue hosting the event.
At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to apply and showcase their newfound knowledge alongside our instructors through concerts.
The Masterclass will not only enhance the technical and expressive understanding of the instrument but also refine the study method. This is crucial for optimizing learning times by incorporating various teaching methods from different realms of music education.
Individual lessons will delve into various methodologies, allowing participants to experience diverse approaches through the various teaching techniques shared by the instructors.
Additionally, group lessons will provide an opportunity for interaction and exchange among participants, allowing them to share their own performances.

He has continued to enchant listeners as a soloist with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, both in London and across Europe. His discography as a symphonic trumpeter is extensive and diverse, reflecting the breadth of his musical mastery.

The talented Belgian trumpeter stands out as a musical force with a vast and boundless passion. Praised for his exceptional technical ability and sensitive musicality, his repertoire spans different eras, from Baroque to contemporary music and jazz. Berwaerts often takes on vocal roles in such programs, showcasing his versatility. In addition to his career as a trumpeter, he completed jazz singing studies at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent. Berwaerts’ commitment to contemporary music is reflected in the numerous world premieres he has performed, including Toshio Hosokawa’s second trumpet concerto, *Im Nebel*, and Francesco Filidei’s *Carnevale*. He is the second trumpeter in the world, after Håkan Hardenberger, to add HK Gruber’s *Busking* (2007) to his repertoire. His discography is diverse, featuring recordings like *Signals from Heaven* with Salaputia Brass, Hindemith’s trumpet sonata with Alexander Melnikov, and recordings of Shostakovich’s Concerto for Piano, Trumpet, and Orchestra under the direction of Teodor Currentzis, and Toshio Hosokawa’s *Voyage VII* with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg.
